Safety Takes To The Dance Floor

WDSOD has gone to great lengths to ensure the safety and comfort of the dancer. WDSOD decided to put the dancer first as well as the staff.WDSOD created a semi-sprung dance floor consisting of 10mm high density compressed rubber brought down from QLD, topped with Harlequin dance flooring from Sydney.

This is the perfect top surface for the dancer, with its cushioned underlay that would further help with impact absorbency. The surface is slip-resistant and a pleasure to dance on.We are the first in the North East and Southern NSW to install this type of flooring.
Dancers always risk injury but with Harlequin flooring we have attempted to reduce this to a minimum.

Please note that all WDSOD staff have Level 2 First Aid. WDSOD has installed double ballet barres to all studios with the diameter of the ballet barre considered for the comfort of the dancer with a lower barre to accommodate the younger student.

 Full length mirrors are fitted in Studio 'A'  and the Tap Studio.  This helps the performer reach their full potential.

WDSOD has a student change area with four individual change cubicles for the privacy of the students. A special area equipped with table and chairs and white boards for tuition and private study for the VCE Dance student. Male and female toilets and kitchen facilities are also available for the parents for a well earned cuppa!
